An attempt to let go of armors and resistances. A research into the vulnerable. A descent into those parts of ourselves who know when something can and must be born and when it must die.

Against the Wall by Paula Chaves with Mandy Kemper and Paula Chaves
Against the Wall researches how the body can temporarily become a flying machine.
Fascinated by how repetition has the potential to distort reality, create ruptures, invoke ecstaticness, as well as how the body can temporarily turn into a propelling machine, the performance attempts to challenge the oppositional relationship between the human body (the performers) and machine (technical climbing apparatus).

STATIONS OF (UN)BECOMING by Fenia Kotsopoulou in collaboration with Daz Disley
A video, photography and live performance exhibition combining different facets of Fenia’s practice, designed around four audio-visual “stations”, offering multi-layered experiences and understandings of the creative processes emerging from attentiveness to the Body as message and simultaneously messenger.

Heso by and with Mao Nakagawa
when i close my eyes i will remember your first finger
when i feel lonely i will remember your atmosphere
when i look at the sky , and sneeze by the sun , i will smile you
h e s o is based on the experience of Mao’s life, and the internship in GujyoHachiman, Japan, and in Iceland during summer/autumn in 2016.

OutOf aiR by and with Irina Lavrinovic and Asher Lev
The work by Irina and Aher, invites the audience to breath, and breath together.

Monumental by and with Martin Hansen ( Aerowaves selected )
Martin re-writes the “Dying Swan” from “Swan Lake” by Ana Pavlova from 1905.
About this performance, he says: “a solo dance work made with history, activated by labour”.

Wannabe – (first study) by and with Fabritia D’Intino in collaboration with Federico Scettri (winning project of (In)Generazione – Fabbrica Europa)
In her work Fabritia asks: What moves the bodies today? From the supermarket to clubs, how we look like is never enough and the aim is to be different and be more. Wannabe is the trigger to go beyond your limits. A celebration of the mainstream that nourishes and moves us, despite us.

What beauty feels like – intervention by and with Fenia Kotsopoulou
What beauty feel like is the slogan/logo of the famous hair removal product. A slogan that persuades the audience to believe that they will be “beautiful” as long they use this hair removal product for touchable, soft, desirable, extra smooth, moisturized and shiny legs that can proudly show off.

The performance explore the relation between technology and femininity, between sound and body.
Isadora Tomasi is the first choreographer to receive the artistic residence in CALA Festival
